Litigators of death penalty cases will be benefiting from the vast knowledge of NMS Labs Director of Toxicological Services; Dr. Barry Logan as he will be addressing the first of two national training sessions in Tampa, FL this week. The training events, organized by the National Clearinghouse for Science Technology and the Law, at Stetson University, are designed to familiarize attorneys with all branches of forensic science, and its role in a thorough criminal investigation. Dr. Logan will be discussing forensic toxicology, safeguards to ensure complete, accurate and forensically defensible testing, and some of the pitfalls involved in interpretation. He will also be discussing the toxicology of the drugs used in the lethal injection execution procedure. A second seminar on these topics will be held November 19th and 20th in Phoenix AZ.
