Arsenic Poisoning in ME Church
Situation: Stating that their coffee had a peculiar taste, more than a dozen parishioners of a church became violently ill after drinking the beverage, resulting in one death. Samples taken from the victims were tested at a toxicology laboratory.
Action: The samples were then sent to NMS Labs for further, more in-depth analysis.
Results: NMS toxicologists analyzed and confirmed that the cause of the sudden illnesses was arsenic. This case was recorded as the thirteenth-largest mass arsenic poisoning in the nation's history. And as a follow-up, NMS set up a STAT monitoring lab, which was staffed 24/7, to help monitor the progress of the chelation therapy.
