NMS Labs Stuffs the Bus for Charity

School bells are ringing in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and area children are returning to class with new supplies donated by the NMS Labs’ team. In partnership with the United Way of Bucks County, NMS Labs proudly participated in the 9th annual Stuff the Bus drive.

Deborah Keith, Executive Administrative Assistant, led the organization’s efforts. “I have built my values on helping others and had the idea one day that we being a family oriented organization could help the community,” she said.

The United Way of Bucks County reports on factsheets that at any given time about 20,000 kids in Bucks County struggle to have their basic needs met. Stuff the Bus provides local children in need a new backpack filled with school supplies – pens, pencils, notebooks and rulers, to name a few – for the upcoming school year. Every school district in Bucks County is assisted as part of the initiative and the goal was to fill 3,500 backpacks this year.

Employees donated new school supplies directly or offered a monetary donation which will be converted into gift cards for additional supplies. Five large boxes of new supplies filled to capacity were taken from headquarters and donated to the United Way. “I am impressed by the generosity of our colleagues at NMS Labs who answer the call for help by a community in need, this year by stuffing the bus just like we did for Houston after the flooding in 2017, or the Bucks County food bank in 2018,” said Pierre Cassigneul, President and CEO.

“The excitement of getting something new when you don’t have the means of having it is tremendous in the eyes of a child.  They will feel confident in approaching their new classroom and know they are ready for the new school year. I hope these children receive everything they need and knowing we could be a part of that is gratifying,” said Keith.
