Almost all substances are toxic under certain conditions. Toxicity is primarily linked to the amount of exposure to a substance, but can also have other causes, such as genetic predisposition, interaction of substances, or diet. NMS Labs has over 35 years of experience providing clinical toxicology expertise and is an industry leader in developing new and esoteric tests that enhance diagnosis, patient management, and treatment.
NMS Labs has a catalog of more than 2,500 tests and assays, including 70 metals and other elements, that can deliver new insights to help diagnose puzzling health conditions, and to detect and monitor prescription, therapeutic, and abused drugs. In addition, we offer extensive biological monitoring of occupational exposure. Many of these tests are unavailable at any other commercial lab. Metals Testing
NMS Labs is on of the few labs providing bioanalytical tests for ~70 elements, including heavy metals. We specialize in unusual analyte tests in a variety of biological matrices including: serum, plasma, whole blood, hair, urine, tissues and others.
To identify and quantify metals and other chemical elements, NMS Labs scientists have developed over 500 panels and individual assays using state-of-the-art technology including inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and atomic absorption and atomic emission spectroscopy. All specimens are handled in a purpose-designed clean-room environment.
